A family photo that shows a little girl beside her father and his fellow soldiers in uniform as they prepare to go to war has resonated well beyond the tight knit Bennethum clan.
Four-year-old Paige Bennethum really, really didn’t want her daddy to go to Iraq.
So much so, that when Army Reservist Staff Sgt. Brett Bennethum lined up in formation at his deployment this July, she couldn’t let go.
No one had the heart to pull her away.
This is for the “I’m Fine Girls”.
The girls whose hearts are actually breaking. The girls who smile and nod. The girls who are madly inlove with a guy. The girls who blink back their tears. The girls who secretly cry themselves to sleep. The girls who listen to sad music alone. The girls who stare longingly at couples in the malls.
Because despite what we tell everyone else, we are not fine. We are not fine at all.
Cause it was already 00:45 here that time and I feel asleep fast. I didn’t know that he went back few minutes after that. He said he just had to make a phone call and an hour it has been..
I hate it when this happens. He gets caught up and forgetting to tell me he’s gonna be back after whatever he is doing.
Oh well. Gonna hit the bed again.~
I wish I could talk to him. I’m having problem with my academics, particularly having to extend one more trimester for just 1 freakin’ minor subject :|
Have to talk before making a decision. Already planning to find a full time job that won’t interfere with school.
I wonder what God plans for me.. /sigh :’(
I think I’m gonna pretend I didn’t see you online on Facebook and you didn’t leave me even an “Hi!” :/
Off to David Archuleta’s concert here in Manila. Need to be early so we can get the best seats that we can get.
I tried to misscall his mobile number.. But it’s busy.
Oh well, at least I tried. I just hope he’s okay there.
Kinda down in the morn’ but had some unplanned moments in the evening that made me happy. Oh, and the full moon also :’)
